Encase yourself in the local history by staying at our charming and comfortable home located in one of the oldest streets of Alcácer do Sal. Throughout many centuries, skilled local farmers, craftsmen, and artisans would send out throughout all of Portugal and much of Europe their treasured products from the Alentejo. The Almocreves were the mule and donkey-drivers who provided the critical transportation link for these products, and their name became inexorably linked to this neighborhood and our street. During renovations it was determined that some of the supporting walls to our home date from the Medieval Period, now tastefully and carefully restored to 21st century standards and comforts.

The property has been designed and curated to evoke the memory of the Almocreves, with abundant photographs, textures, and memorabilia.
