Adjacent to the painstakingly restored Igreja de Santiago with its prized azulejo tiled walls and bell towers that have kept watch for centuries, the neighborhood allows our guests to experience personally the legacy and fusion of cultures that exist only in Alcácer do Sal. 

Santiago Refuge was the first property in the Beyond Tagus portfolio, and was selected and restored following a review of its history and locality, central to everything that the town has to offer the visitor. All of the city landmarks are minutes away, including the historical center, river, restaurants, shops, and museums. In its walls, you will take refuge among its restored wooden floors and walls, now proudly displaying several touches and ornaments that evoke its Santiago heritage. From the private balcony, the guest can sit and overlook a small square, the nearby Sado River, and all of the charms and surprises of this wonderful town.
